4月30日晚8时许，中国上海世博会开幕式在黄浦江畔的世博文化中心拉开帷幕。在这一盛大的开幕式上，精彩频出，而最吸引人的十大亮点是：

在开幕式的序幕中，数百名身着粉色长裙的中国少女如一朵朵亭亭玉立的荷花，伫立在舞台上，仿佛“和谐天使”。她们深情款款，露出微笑，并以圣洁的鸣唱开启上海世博会大幕。

据了解，“荷花少女”来自上海的5所大学，均属于非专业的“本色”演出。

序幕中，舞台上空出现了一只巨型“白鸽”，张开梦幻般的翅膀。“白鸽”由770个“浮球”组成，并以中国传统篆刻中“阴文”与“阳文”两种形式呈现。而这些“浮球”在此后的室内演出中，又将变幻出expo、波浪、世博会中国馆等造型。

这一幕其实是由770台独立伺服电机在计算机控制下完成的。牵引“白鸽”的是770根含纳米技术的细线。

开幕式上，《蓝色多瑙河》两度奏响。第一次是在室内演出的《江河情缘》一幕，第二次是在室外灯光喷泉焰火表演中。

这首由奥地利作曲家约翰・施特劳斯创作的久负盛名的圆舞曲，1868年在巴黎世博会上一鸣惊人。在当时没有电话、电视，更没有互联网的时代，竟迅速传遍世界。《蓝色多瑙河》已成为世博会历史上一个不可磨灭的文化符号。

这是中国脍炙人口的《长江之歌》诞生以来，最富有创意的一次呈现。在青年钢琴家郎朗的'指尖，《长江之歌》将与《上海协奏曲》串在一起，以精巧的变奏形式亮相。

随着《长江之歌》响起，155名中国优秀芭蕾舞演员出现在观众视线中，他们身着中西合璧的白底蓝边舞裙，如浪花般飞旋、跳跃……著名舞蹈家谭元元用足尖不停旋转，诉说人类文明脚步永不停歇。

只见舞台上升起5片巨型的彩色“花瓣”，“花瓣”在旋转中最终变成蔚蓝的“地球”。不同肤色的三个三口之家出现在舞台上，三个孩子奔向对方，深情拥抱。此时，来自青海省玉树地震灾区的代吉文毛和江巴才仁来到舞台上，五个小朋友手牵手，跳起舞来，最后被众人高高托起。
