Most of the learned youth in this country consider Politics to be "a refugefor the scoundrels" and this derogatory remark may be true if we look at thedeceptive and degenerated type of politicians indulging in a dirty game.Allthese political parties are votaries of democracy,but the way they conductthemselves inside their own parties is nothing but senselessauthoritarianism.Therefore a very few students choose to pursue Politics as aprofession,but what they don't realize is that if we don't take a stand thesystem can never be changed.Thus,I want to study Politics so I can come back tomy country and contribute what little I can do for my homeland and its people.IfI can inspire even a single person,it would be worth it.The world today isgrowing global.We are now not only to think of our own nation but as and when wethink of it,we have to keep the international perception in mind;consequently,Ichose Politics with International Relations as one of my courses.

出国留学前必要的准备介绍

1、语言能力准备

很多人认为学英语直接到国外学，因为国外的英语环境好，能够帮助学生更快提高语言能力。但是对于还没有具备扎实语言基础的中国学生而言，这肯定不是一个好建议。

中国学生在接受了长时间的传统填鸭式、应试型教育之后，有很多人不具备良好的独立学习能力和实践勇气，更没有达到对于英语的运用自如。如果马上出国留学，难免听不懂课、张不开嘴，进而陷入学习的恶性循环当中。

2、学习能力准备

国内外的学习方式不尽相同，有留学想法的同学，应提高自己的自学能力，提前学习一些西方大学课程。毕竟语言成绩达标只能说明学生具备一定的英语能力，这还远远不够，因为它不代表学生在西方体系教学模式下能取得好成绩。海外大学的教学和考核模式对中国学生是完全陌生，也与应试教育是截然相反的。因此，很多虽然托福、雅思成绩达标或优秀的学生，到了国外大学课堂，完全无所适从，学习成绩非常糟糕，甚至多门重修，以致被大学勒令退学或转校。

3、生活能力准备

留学海外，学生远离父母，完全依靠自己管理吃穿住行和学习，自我管理能力就变得非常重要。出国留学，实际上也是一个孩子独立的开始，他必须自己面对海外生活的各种问题。此外，团队合作精神、有计划性、时间管理能力等都是要提前做好的准备。能否具备这些优秀品格及个人素质，是保证留学成功又一大关键因素。

4、申请及签证准备

不少国外大学录取学生绝对不只是看托福、雅思成绩或“唯分数论”。在大学申请这一环节，千万不要走格式和流程化，应当客观实际地展现学生的个性化特征、学术成绩和综合能力。学生应该请经验丰富的老师在申请材料这一方面做指导，但是绝对不能做假材料。

5、资金准备

资金是留学的基础保障，也是第一保障，准备送孩子留学的家庭应做好持续支付学生海外学习费用的准备，以及制定可能出现经济断层情况时的应对措施。

出国留学签证申请流程

一、了解申请国家的留学签证和申请条件

无论申请哪个国家的签证，都需要提前了解该国家在办理签证的流程和相关的材料之类的。因为大使馆对于签证的要求也是经常有变动性，所以为了避免在正式办理签证过程中出现错误问题，申请人应该提前了解一下该国家签证的流程和所需材料。

二、预约签证

大多数国家办理签证时是需要提前预约的，例如：美国，学生们可以提前到中信银行卡购买电话卡致电美国大使馆进行预约签证，对于没有预约而直接到签证中心递交材料的情况，申请中心是不会受理的。

三、填写签证申请表

学生们可以登录大使馆的官方网站填写签证申请表，由于签证申请表一经提交后就无法进行修改，因此学生们在填写时一定要确保护照和身份证信息准确无误，在写完之后可以检查一遍再提交。签证申请表提交后需要将其打印出来，如果是在线支付的话，还需要将缴费凭证打印出来，作为证明。

Due to the comprehensiveness of China’s “reform and open” policies, economics plays an increasingly important role in the development of its global position. Though more and more companies built, management of companies cannot catch up with the development of the companies. Management is a burgeoning field in China, so I hope I can acquire more modern knowledge on management in England.

The roots of my strong interest in business can be traced back to my childhood. My father was among the first of China’s new breed of modern entrepreneurs. As a young girl, it was inspirational hearing about his business ventures, and meeting the varied and interesting circle of entrepreneurs. My mother was also involved in business as an accountant, helping him with simple calculations. And so it was early in my life that I hoped I, also, would someday be able to enter the realm of business.

With the time of growing up, I preferred reading books to satisfy my curiosity. I never ceased to contemplate over the questions I encountered. Subjects on business and management became a special fascination to me and my knowledge of psychology as well as interest in this field was increasing rapidly.

As a high school student in China, I had to concentrate on the College Entrance Examination (CEE), even so, books not related to the exams were never excluded from my life. Unfortunately when sitting in the exam in June, 2001, I was so nervous that I didn’t score well in the CEE exam. I enrolled in the department of Computer Science in Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Any attempt to persuade myself to focus on my major turned out to be a failure at the beginning of my college life. After several terms, I realized that I would never be interested in being a programmer or an engineer. At that moment, I lost my direction and objectives.

My persistence in reading saved me from the dark situation. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed reading the books included Encyclopedia American, and some books about management by Peter F.Drucker. I began to notice something interesting: Why some companies can produce more than others? Why some company can sell more than others? Why some companies can build up but others cannot when facing the same difficulties?

With the questions in my mind, I started to read many relevant books. I was lucky to read the book “Jack: Straight from the Gut”by Jack Welch, in Which John A. Byrne makes a clear illustration that the management is important for a company. When I was a junior, I ran a bookshop by myself near my school. I should manage not only the finance in the shop but also the employees in my shop even made some strategies to enlarge the business in my shop to hold on the run the shop. From this, my interpersonal skills and the capacity in business has been greatly developed, definitely I was increasingly interested in what I was doing. By December, 2003, I had finally determined to take business management as my career instead of IT. To accumulate more relevant knowledge, I strived to gain more practical work experience in some big companies.

Fortunately, as a senior, I began by conducting an internship in the Architecture Company in Zhejiang Province. Over six months, I worked as an assistant of the manager to harmonize the relationship between the different departments in this company and to draft some management system, which broadened my perspective of management conditions and business performance in different industries. The experience showed me that management is much more important than that of I thought in big companies. After graduation, I continued my work in this company. In May, 2005, the company offered me an opportunity to participate in an training program held by a famous management school. Through in-depth discussions with teachers and students in the classes, they all encouraged me to pursue my future career in management field because of my intellectual ability and the brand new ideas I mentioned.

During the short period of training, I realized that pursuing a higher degree in management is a wise choice for me now. I am interested in the field of study of Organizational Behavior. In thepast，I have had the experience of working in settings where the people and thecorporate cultures of the companies were all different. I have found that thereis a great difference in the both the behaviors of people and of theirorganizations，depending on whether they are state-owned enterprises (SOEs)，large multinational firms，or small to medium sized foreign enterprises. Onesimple example is that of the ability of an employee to act independentlywithout direct instructions from his or her boss. In many Chinese organizations，acting without direct instructions is considered a form of disrespect towardsthe supervisor，who is generally offended by such behavior. In my experience andresearch，such organizations tend to have low operating efficiency with theemployees losing their innate ability to take the initiative.

In contrast，foreign enterprises tend to welcome employees who have theability to make decisions on their own，though the extent to which this is truedepends on whether the supervisor is a local Chinese or an expatriate. Theseorganizat

第一，提高单科成绩。国外的大学非常看重学习成绩，许多自考生申请困难，便是由于学习成绩的问题。由于我国的自考比较严格，如果考生不是在考前就有出国打算的话，很少有考生各科成绩都能得优秀。因为毕竟是用业余时间在学习，许多人抱着通过就行的想法，成绩普遍不高。因此，如果有出国留学的打算的话，一定要努力提高自己的考试成绩，这样申请名校的几率更大。

第二，提高自己的语言水平。自考生大多不是在学校里全脱产学习，外语也就没有经过系统的学习，通过自考的英语单科，很多人都是勉勉强强，更何况托福雅思。想出国但又没有通过语言关的自考生可以先进入国外的语言学校，但费用相当高。因此，有留学意向的自考生最好在国内参加相关培训，通过了语言关再出去，这样可以节约很多费用。

第三，最好能拿到学士学位。国外许多大学都要求申请者拥有学士学位才允许读硕士，因此如果你拥有学位的话，选择的空间会更大。但这种规定不是绝对的，在国外也同样有许多学校不要求有学位，具体情况需要征询他们的研究生院。

I am interested in the field of study of Organizational Behavior. In thepast，I have had the experience of working in settings where the people and thecorporate cultures of the companies were all different. I have found that thereis a great difference in the both the behaviors of people and of theirorganizations，depending on whether they are state-owned enterprises (SOEs)，large multinational firms，or small to medium sized foreign enterprises. Onesimple example is that of the ability of an employee to act independentlywithout direct instructions from his or her boss. In many Chinese organizations，acting without direct instructions is considered a form of disrespect towardsthe supervisor，who is generally offended by such behavior. In my experience andresearch，such organizations tend to have low operating efficiency with theemployees losing their innate ability to take the initiative.

In contrast，foreign enterprises tend to welcome employees who have theability to make decisions on their own，though the extent to which this is truedepends on whether the supervisor is a local Chinese or an expatriate. Theseorganizat Applied Program：Organizational Behavior

The purpose behind this personal statement is to not only gain admission toyour well-established and highly respected Ph.D. program，but to impress uponyou my passion for learning and my tremendous desire to succeed in bothscholastic research and in teaching on the professional level. I have based mydecision to pursue an academic career not on purely practical reasons，butrather on my own natural interests and aptitude. My personal philosophy is thatmoney and social status should not be pursued as life-consuming objectives andthat in actuality they are the by-products of goals originating from one's innerneeds. 考试费用：出国前首先要准备托福或雅思考试，雅思考试费用1750元。不需要面试的托福也将和雅思考试形式一致。

院校申请：国外相当多的大学需要收申请人的院校申请费，收了这笔钱后，大学才会对申请人的材料进行评审和评估。因为需要耗费它的人力，这笔钱多少不等，平均下来每所也有100美元左右。

生活必用品：常备药品、学习用品、厨具如电饭煲之类需20xx元左右;行李不能超重，否则还要加收费用。

到达安检通道后，通道口会有安检柜台，将机票的旅客联、登机牌、身份证交给安检员，安检员审核没问题会在登机牌上面盖章。然后过安检门，随身带的物品要从安检门旁的X光安检机过去(不能携带的物品)，学生自己要从安检门通过。安检没问题的话就可进候机厅候机。

通过安检后，据登机牌上标明的航班查找登机口，并找到与登机口对应的候机厅，一般情况下，几号登机口就在几号候机厅候机。找到候机厅就在那里休息，等广播通知登机。记得一定要记得注意听广播。

听到登机广播后，在登机口会有服务人员撕登机牌，到登机口将登机牌交服务人员，服务人员将登机牌撕一小块，其他部分交回给你(如果是学生票，可能需要出示学生签证)，持登机牌跟着人群上飞机。注意：上飞机后记得关掉手机

登机牌上标明有位置，如：5D、11C什么的，数字代表第几排，每排的座位是按A、B、C、D、E、F。排的，飞机上的座位号标在放行李的舱壁(座位上方)。找到自己的位置坐下，扣上安全带，同时注意起飞前关掉手机。在飞机上，需要填写服务员提供的入境登记卡及海关申报单。

“All I know about leadership I learned from . . .” What items could a person use to describe leadership qualities?

Inspired by the student council advisors at my high school.

Student council was a big part of my life in high school. I have participated in it since my frst year of high school. When I frst joined， I was quiet， na?ve， and unwilling to participate in many activities. I was scared to meet new people and afraid to apply myself. This all began to change. Half way through my frst year in student council， one of the advisors can up to me and asked why I did not participate that much. I did not have an answer for her and did not know how to respond. After this， I began to think of an answer. I became frustrated and decided to change. I started to show up at events and had a great time. I realized I loved this and wanted to start leading these activities. In my sophomore， junior， and now my senior year of high school， I asserted myself and took on a strong leadership role in student council. I did not fgure out the answer to why I was so reserved until this year with the help of this question.

When I looked up leadership in the dictionary， it said that it was the capacity to lead and the act or instance of leading. These are two very broad defnitions of leadership. Many people have different notions of what this word actually means. When I was challenged to use different items to describe what leadership actually is， I thought this was going to be a hard and obnoxious task. What could I learn from comparing leadership to a stuffed animal or a rubber chicken? But when I sat down to come up with a couple of answers， I realized that leadership could be compared to almost anything a person wants.

All I know about leadership I learned from a calculator. A calculator can add everything together to come up with the best answer. It can delet e what is unnecessary and only include what is important. It can solve any type of problem. These are all important equalities a leader has to have. A leader has to be able to add all of the ideas together to make the best possible plan. Leaders have to know how to decipher the good and the bad out of an idea. They have to be versatile and know how to deal with different types of issues.

All I know about leadership I learned from a ball. A ball is able to bounce back up after it is dropped. It is round and has no creases. A ball can be thrown back and forth to different people. All of these qualities are also leadership qualities. A leader has to be ready for every situation that is thrown at him or her. He or she has to be able to bounce back from any setbacks and never dwell on the past. Leaders have to exhibit many qualities and never be closed-minded about a situation. A leader must be able to delegate when he or she cannot get the work done. They have to trust everyone they lead to be able to “catch the ball” and keep a project rolling.

This activity made me realize that being a leader is so much more than just having authority and having the ability to take control of a situation. A leader has to be trusting of all the people he or she leads and， leaders must be able to combine ideas into one encompassing idea. They cannot sit in the background and watch events happen; they have to jump in and be involved. They should not delegate all their responsibilities away.

Leadership is more than what the dictionary says it is.

I learned through all of this that I have many of these qualities.

I have the ability to solve problems， lead through adversity， and be versatile. From answering this question， I realized that I could lead effectively， even if my leadership style is different from other individuals. When I joined student council in my frst year of high school， I did not have these qualities because I was never put into a situation where I had to lead. I was too reserved to try. When I tried， I learned that I could succeed in this. I did not realize until I answered this question about leadership. Studying in UK will breed a sense of individuality and self reliance.I would be able to interact with people from everywhere and get to know about their culture.This would not only open new horizons for me,but would also clear some preconceived notions one has about the other.I have always been an active participant of debates.I have participated in 3 Model UN conferences out of which I was awarded with the Best Delegate award in two. I was also one of the two students to be selected from my school to participate in the English Speaking Union '08.Moreover, I've taken part in Parliamentary style debates too.Therefore I believe I can communicate effectively in public and language will not be a barrier in my education.Furthermore, I have worked as an internee at Al-Shifa Eye Hospital for a month in summers.Here I learnt how to deal with patients,use the Auto Ref, handle files and punctuality.We also campaigned to a remote area near Murree where we helped the doctors in examining the patients free of cost.Another experience which taught me a lot was when me and my fellow colleagues volunteered to paint walls for the SOS Children's Village.In addition,I worked with SUNGI (NGO) where a group of 5 of us had to organize an event to pay tribute to 1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize.

I enjoy Literature,especially the works of Shakespeare,Tennessee Williams,Thomas Hardy and Andrew Marvell.I'd be delighted to study in a challenging atmosphere where I can focus on my studies.I commit to my work and my ability to think out of the box,keenness for Politics and my perception of things,I understand,gives me an edge over others.I believe in myself,and if provided with an opportunity,I'd make the university proud.

笔者见过有个学生在BS的时候，侃侃而谈他与上海市长是如何认识的?添油加醋。听下来，就是上海世博会，他是“小白菜”，参观的时候，顺便和他打个招呼，很微弱的关系。

还有些学生，在学校讲座的时候，和一些大牛教授有过合影，觉得自己很牛。其实这些并不是美国所希望看到的学生，如果要证明自己很出色，一定是让自己的成就让他人佩服。而不是肤浅的东西。

　　七：自己躲猫猫?

这是个隐秘的陷阱。很多中国申请者，尤其DIY的学生，在创作文书的时候，会陷入这样一个境地：自我丢失。

这种情况很严重，产生的原因，通常都是中国人自我潜意识对自我不是自信。

比如在描述项目，会描述项目多么优秀，老师指导多么给力，Team工作多么顺畅，文字写得洋洋洒洒，但是，问题出来，你呢?你自己是什么样的人，我们依然不知道。

还有很多学生，觉得自己是打酱油的：实习打酱油，科研打酱油，文书觉得没什么可写，所以乱写一通。

这是不对的，文书展示的是你，说大一点：你的contribution;说小一点：你的influence。很多申请者不善于发现自己与周边的关系，不了解自己如何去推动项目的完成。要注意从细节中提炼自己，文章中一定要有自己!
